Indo Water 2026 Expo & Forum Participates in InterAqua 2026, Advancing Global Collaboration across the Water Sector
Celebrating 25 years of groundbreaking achievement and proudly entering its 20th edition, Indo Water Expo & Forum stands stronger than ever as one of Indonesia’s foremost showcase for the water and wastewater industry. Organised by PT Napindo Media Ashatama, the event consistently brings together key stakeholders, including government officials, regulators, water and sewerage companies, manufacturers, industrial users, consultants and industry experts who rely on this gathering to shape strategies, explore innovations and build long term collaborations.

Indonesia’s ongoing development of modern urban sanitation infrastructure reflects meaningful progress in strengthening environmental sustainability and urban resilience. Led by Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works, the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) marks the transition toward centralised wastewater management systems. This shift encompasses the development of large capacity treatment facilities, expansion of city wide sewer networks and adoption of modern treatment technologies to meet environmental standards. This transformation is driving sustained demand for integrated wastewater solutions and long-term investment across the sector. (Source: Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum)
This market development is supported by the Government of Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening investment frameworks in the water and sanitation sector. Under the 2025-2029 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN), the government has set clear investment targets, with total planned investment of IDR157.2 trillion for the water supply sector and IDR74.9 trillion for sanitation, while promoting alternative financing mechanisms, particularly public and private partnerships to support large scale programmes. As Indonesia’s pioneering exhibition for the water and wastewater sector, Indo Water plays a strategic role in supporting national water and sanitation programmes by connecting policymakers, project owners and industry solution providers on an integrated platform. As centralised wastewater infrastructure continues to advance, Indo Water facilitates knowledge exchange, strengthens project readiness and expands market access, contributing to the delivery of sustainable solutions and the long term growth of Indonesia’s water and wastewater sector.
Strengthening Indo Water’s Positioning through Strategic Participation
In line with its vision of strengthening global connectivity, Napindo proudly announces Indo Water’s participation at InterAqua 2026, which will take place on 28-30 January at Tokyo Big Sight East Hall, Japan. This presence reinforces Indonesia’s growing role in advancing the water sector in Asia and affirms Napindo’s commitment to global collaboration.
Indo Water’s participation at InterAqua 2026 represents a strategic effort to reinforce its role as one of Indonesia’s primary gateway to the global water and wastewater industry. As Indonesia continues to advance national priorities in water management, urban sanitation, climate resilience and sustainable infrastructure development, engagement with international markets and solution providers plays an important role in supporting knowledge exchange, technology adoption and alignment with evolving global standards.
Held under the concept of an exhibition of water business supporting sustainable corporate activities, the event provides a relevant setting for Indo Water to observe emerging trends, regulatory approaches and practical solutions implemented in mature and highly regulated markets such as Japan. Rather than positioning it solely as a technology showcase, Indo Water views the event as a reference point for understanding how Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related commitments are translated onto operational and commercial strategies within the water sector.

Indo Water marked a new milestone in 2025, achieving a total gross exhibition area of 15,888 square metres and receiving an overwhelming response from 620 exhibitors from 26 countries, including 12 global country pavilions. Building on this success, Napindo is confident in welcoming 700 exhibitors from 30 countries and ensuring 17,000 visitors attend the Indo Water 2026 event, taking place from 11-13 August 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. The comprehensive exhibition, global conference and networking opportunities are designed to be a catalyst for transformative solutions. This flagship event will be the definitive meeting point for showcasing breakthrough solutions and forging strategic collaborations that drive the future of Indonesia’s water and wastewater sector.
