Nephros Introduces 19-Series Total PFAS Water Filter for Protection Against Forever Chemicals

Nephros is proud to announce the launch of a Total PFAS* commercial water filter, a point-of-use solution engineered to protect against persistent, bio-accumulative contaminants in potable water supplies. This new addition to the Nephros portfolio provides Total PFAS protection, while also addressing multiple other waterborne threats.

Addressing the Growing Challenge of Forever Chemicals
PFAS, often referred to as “forever chemicals,” are persistent substances which build up in living organisms over time and are especially resistant to breaking down. As they accumulate, the potential for adverse health impacts increases significantly. Because of the potential for harm, PFAS are increasingly the focus of regulatory action at both federal and state levels, placing pressure on facilities to meet evolving standards. The Nephros 19-Series PFAS Filter directly addresses these needs with validated removal of Total PFAS, rather than just legacy compounds such as PFOA and PFOS.

Performance and Features
The Nephros 19-Series PFAS Filter is tested to NSF Standards 42 and 53, covering Total PFAS, chlorine, lead, cysts, asbestos and Class I particulate. It provides:

  • Validated Total PFAS reduction, including PFOA and PFOS
  • Multi-contaminant protection in a single filter cartridge
  • Ideal for facilities with strict water standards such as federal buildings, hospitals, schools and other public spaces
  • Gallon capacity of 3,145 with a flow rate up to 1.63 gallons per minute
  • Available in A, C and E keys for compatibility with multiple commercial manifolds

Wide Application Potential
This new PFAS filter is ideally suited for industries and settings that prioritise clean, safe water, including healthcare, education, hospitality, foodservice, laboratories, manufacturing and public institutions. By offering comprehensive multi-contaminant protection in a single cartridge, Nephros provides a simple, effective solution for establishments prioritizing safe and compliant water.

Expanding the Nephros Portfolio
The launch of the 19-Series filter strengthens Nephros’ commitment to protecting public health by addressing contaminants that threaten both personal and environmental safety. In addition to reducing Total PFAS compounds, this model targets other persistent, hazardous waterborne threats such as asbestos fibres and toxic lead, complementing Nephros’ broader portfolio of advanced filtration solutions.

* Total PFAS reduction as a mixture of seven PFAS compounds including PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, PFNA, PFHpA, PFBS and PFDA.
