STV Partners with Transcend to Incorporate Generative Design into Wastewater Treatment Engineering
STV, one of the leading professional services firms that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, announced a strategic partnership with Transcend, one of the leading providers of generative design software for critical infrastructure projects. As part of the partnership, STV will incorporate Transcend’s software, the Transcend Design Generator (TDG), into its treatment facility design and planning process.
STV is using TDG to analyse, test, model and deliver multiple scenarios for complex wastewater treatment design as well as groundwater and PFAS treatment solutions. The software leverages artificial intelligence to automate the conceptual and preliminary design of infrastructure assets, such as water and wastewater facilities, by simplifying the steps to generate and review engineering quality documents including Revit® and AutoCAD®. The automation of repetitive tasks can accelerate the design process, allowing STV to increase efficiency and deliver better optimised, cost-effective and sustainable wastewater treatment solutions for communities across the nation.
STV helps create solutions for the complex challenges communities are facing in securing water resources, such as aging infrastructure, regulatory requirements, capacity improvements and facility expansions. The firm has a proven track record of developing and implementing integrated management strategies for water and wastewater treatment projects across the United States, including the award-winning Vista Ridge Regional Supply Project in San Antonio, Texas; the Little Sugar Creek Tributary Sewer Project in Charlotte, North Carolina; the Walnut Hill Pump Station in Dallas, Texas; the Owasso Wastewater Treatment Plant in Owasso, Oklahoma; and the Red Hook Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility in New York City.
