Planet Water Foundation Partners with LIV Golf’s Torque GC to Support Clean Water Projects
Planet Water Foundation, a nonprofit organization addressing issues around access to safe drinking water, announces a new partnership with LIV Golf League team, Torque GC, to bring safe drinking water to impoverished communities.
To launch the partnership, Torque GC members, Joaquin Niemann, Sebastian Munoz, Mito Pereira, and Carlos Ortiz, are raising funds to support the deployment of AquaTower water filtration systems in Latin America.
Planet Water’s AquaTower water filtration solution provides communities, schools, and health centres access to clean, safe drinking water, and has been installed in almost 2,000 communities across the world. The gravity-based system utilises three-stage water filtration technology and produces 1,000 litres of drinking water per hour – capable of supporting the daily drinking water requirements of up to 1,800 people.
The first AquaTower supported by Torque GC is being exhibited at LIV Golf Miami from 5-7 April at Trump National Doral Golf Club, with fans able to donate directly to the cause. The AquaTower will then be transported to Mexico to be deployed in a rural community identified by Planet Water Foundation as facing issues with access to safe drinking water.
For all of us, it’s really important to use our platform to give back. We decided to work with Planet Water Foundation and help communities around the world get clean water, which is something we all care very deeply about and look forward to making an impact on many lives.
Joaquin Niemann, Torque GC team captain
“We are excited to be here in Miami to launch this partnership with Torque GC” said Mark Steele, Founder & CEO of Planet Water Foundation. “We are grateful for the support of the Torque GC players and are excited that after the event, our Planet Water team will be relocating this AquaTower to a rural community in Mexico, where it will help transform the lives of a local community by providing them with a reliable source of safe drinking water.”
