According to Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, the government will enhance the utilisation of pumping irrigation for rainfed agricultural land to reduce impact of El Nino and improve agricultural productivity in Indonesia. With the budget of IDR5.8 trillion (USD351.6 million), the government is pushing for pumping irrigation, thereby signaling positive growth for the pump and valves market in the future.
Aside from positive growth, the pump and valves market also has started to modernise itself with digitalisation technology, such as utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) for AI-based water pumps and smart water flow control.
