Metso Introduces Water Treatment Skids for Efficient Particle and Solids Removal from Industrial Process Water

Metso is launching Water Treatment Skids (WTS) for efficient and reliable water treatment in industrial settings, like mining, metallurgical and chemical processing. Water Treatment Skids, which are part of the Metso Plus offering, use centrifugal separation and self-cleaning filtration to remove particles and solids. With automated controls and a compact, modular design, these skids provide plug-and-play installation with essential connections.

“Water Treatment Skids are designed to meet the key objectives that our customers value most. They offer comprehensive functionalities, user-friendly operation and minimal maintenance downtime. In addition, WTS delivers improved and consistent water quality, increases process efficiency and offers scalability and flexibility to grow with the customer’s needs. With streamlined and compact installation, this solution helps conserve valuable resources by promoting internal water reuse in the plants,” added Makarov.

In minerals processing, Water Treatment Skids are an efficient alternative to discharging the thickener overflow to a pond and reclaiming it from there. WTS can also be installed in other industrial process water streams, such as cleaning and other areas of the plants, to enable safe and beneficial water reuse.
