Grundfos announces the official brand transition of Metasphere, which will now trade under the Grundfos name across Australia. Following Grundfos’ acquisition of the telemetry and analytics company, this rebranding marks the final stage in fully integrating Metasphere into Grundfos’ global water utility portfolio.
Metasphere holds an established operational footprint in Australia, supplying remote monitoring hardware, smart sensors and analytics to major water authorities and local councils. Under the unified Grundfos brand, Australian customers will gain access to an integrated offering that pairs field-proven telemetry technology with Grundfos’ global hydraulics expertise and local engineering support.
Strengthening Sewer and Storm Resilience Across Local Networks
As intense storms, ageing pipes and rapid urban growth place increasing pressure on Australian wastewater systems, the brand transition aligns directly with Grundfos’ strategic focus on Sewer and Storm Resilience.
Integrating Metasphere’s telemetry hardware and software platforms—including ART Sewer and Grundfos Connect Sewer Insights—into the broader Grundfos portfolio gives network operators clearer visibility across underground infrastructure. By converting real-time level and rainfall data into actionable warnings, utilities can pinpoint Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) and detect dry-weather blockages before they lead to spills or environmental contamination.
