Nongfu Spring Recognised with Solenis Sustainability Award for Reducing Water, Energy and Natural Gas Consumption

Solenis, one of the leading global providers of water and hygiene solutions, recently announced that Nongfu Spring has been selected as a recipient of the Solenis Sustainability Award for achieving significant resource reductions through the implementation of a rapid clean‑in‑place (CIP) programme across its production operations.

Working with Diversey, a Solenis company, Nongfu Spring implemented a rapid-cycle CIP process across its Ultra High-Temperature processing systems and blending-and-filling lines. The process helped deliver substantial annual reductions in water, electricity and natural gas use, shortened CIP time and lowered carbon emissions.

The optimised rapid CIP process also helped each line gain additional production capacity.

Across Nongfu Spring plants where Solenis’ Rapid CIP solution is now used on multiple filling lines, the programme is supporting resource efficiency, carbon reduction and operational performance.

By helping validate and implement a faster, more efficient CIP process, Diversey enabled Nongfu Spring to advance its sustainability objectives while improving production flexibility and line availability.

Established in 2020, the Solenis Sustainability Awards recognise specific and verifiable customer projects that have, over a period of 12 months, delivered measurable results against at least one of five sustainability indicators: reduced water use, reduced energy consumption, decreased greenhouse gas emissions, optimised raw material utilisation or reduced waste.
