Shenzhen Water Joins SWAN to Accelerate AI and Smart Water Transformation

Shenzhen Water joins SWAN (the Smart Water Networks Forum) to further showcase the acceleration of smart water technologies and SWAN’s growing focus on China. Shenzhen Water and Environment Group, which serves one of the world’s most dynamic megacities, has long been a pioneer in adopting digital solutions to help address many critical challenges, including their noteworthy artificial intelligence strategy powered by advanced data analytics.

Shenzhen Water will also be instrumental in supporting SWAN’s expanding focus on the Chinese market to be highlighted early this year. This exciting initiative, anchored by the localised SWAN DaaS Playbook and the strategic WaterPlus partnership, will convene diverse, global utility and industry thought leaders in cross-regional dialogue and knowledge-sharing to further drive smart water campaigns based on defined challenges, requirements and future plans.

Commenting on this membership, Dr. Amir Cahn, SWAN’s CEO, said, “We have been following Shenzhen Water’s efforts in the AI and smart water sector for the past few years and are thrilled to welcome them to our fast-growing global ecosystem. We’re especially excited about their involvement in our regional initiatives in China and are looking forward to the meaningful discussions which will leverage collective industry expertise.”

Zolboo Dashmyagmar, SWAN’s APAC Lead, said, “Asia-Pacific is seeing rapid development in smart water, with utilities across different maturity levels responding to diverse operational priorities. Shenzhen Water brings strong leadership and experience that can contribute meaningfully to this regional exchange. Partnering with WaterPlus, we’re excited to connect China’s smart water ecosystem with the wider community, creating more opportunities for transforming water together.”

Shenzhen Water has recently launched a new operational service whereby via its AI-driven network system, anomalies in water flow are being automatically detected to alert teams to a possible leak. Customers can also interact with their daily consumption data via the utility’s newly updated digital platforms.
