Taiwan International Water Week (TIWW) 2025: A Showcase of Smart and Sustainable Water Solutions

The 2025 edition of Taiwan International Water Week (TIWW) concluded at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre with one of its strongest international presence to date. Organised by TAITRA and co-organised with Taiwan’s Water Resources Agency, the show brought together global innovators, leading utilities and industrial users to discuss the future of water management under the themes of Smart Water, Sustainable Development, and Net-Zero Transition.

A Growing Platform for Global Water Technology
This year’s event hosted over 100 exhibitors across more than 200 booths, attracting more than 4,300 visitors—a significant increase from the previous year. The expanded turnout underscored TIWW’s rising importance as a regional hub for water technology, connecting domestic Taiwanese manufacturers with global solution providers.

The show floor featured a full spectrum of technologies, including water and wastewater treatment systems, automation and monitoring solutions, hydraulic engineering, transport and storage systems, and water purification and certification services.

Highlights and Innovations
Launch of the Sustainability Hub
A major new feature for 2025 was the Sustainability Hub, created in partnership with the British Standards Institution (BSI). The hub offered ESG and energy-efficiency consulting, helping companies align with global sustainability benchmarks. It also supported newcomers seeking certification services and featured the debut of AquaImpact, a recognition label designed to highlight exhibitors with exceptional sustainability performance.

Advancements in Smart Water Technologies
Smart water management took center stage, with companies such as Xylem, Solteam, Finetek and Fenri showcasing advanced monitoring, data analytics, and digital water-networking systems. Established players—including AVK, Gardner Denver and Tsurumi—highlighted essential components like valves, pumps, blowers and meters that form the backbone of modern infrastructure.

Global leaders in water treatment, including Veolia and Suez, presented solutions focused on desalination, wastewater recycling and circular resource management—areas of growing strategic importance for Taiwan.

Knowledge Sharing and International Collaboration
TIWW’s programme lineup featured Tech Talks, an International Forum, Sustainability Workshops and Procurement Meetings, offering a comprehensive platform for exchange between policymakers, water utilities and technology innovators. These events emphasised the event’s role not only as an exhibition but also as a strategic meeting ground for shaping the region’s water future.

Strategic Impact
TIWW 2025 made clear that the future of water management depends on the integration of smart technology, sustainability and resilience. Taiwan’s commitment to desalination, water reuse and digital water networks positions it as a rising leader in the Asia-Pacific water-tech landscape. By merging cutting-edge innovation with ESG-driven initiatives, TIWW reinforced the idea that water technologies must be both efficient and environmentally responsible.

TIWW 2025 delivered a forward-looking, solution-oriented event that emphasized collaboration and innovation. With increasing international participation and stronger focus areas, the show continues to solidify its status as a key annual platform for companies and organisations dedicated to shaping a sustainable water future.
