Indo Water 2026 Expo & Forum Expands Global Reach in Support of Indonesia’s Water Infrastructure Growth
Positioned at the forefront of Indonesia’s water and wastewater sector, Indo Water continues to strengthen its global footprint through strategic international engagement. As the country accelerates the expansion of its clean water infrastructure, Indo Water 2026 Expo & Forum plays a key role in connecting Indonesia’s growing market with global industry players, technologies and investment opportunities, supporting the nation’s efforts to significantly improve water access.
Indonesia is entering one of the most dynamic phases of water sector growth in its history. Backed by strong government commitment, the country is targeting 24 million new household piped water connections by 2029, effectively doubling current coverage and extending reliable water access to approximately 93 million additional people. This initiative forms part of a comprehensive long-term roadmap under the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025-2045, which envisions the establishment of 56 million total connections and the achievement of universal water access for more than 211 million Indonesians by 2045. The scale of this investment programme is expected to generate sustained demand across the entire water and wastewater value chain. From strengthening water conservation to ensure long term availability, improving efficient water management and utilization, as well as enhancing disaster mitigation for floods and other hydrometeorological risks, Indonesia presents a high growth market where innovation aligns with urgent infrastructure needs.
This is a major undertaking that must be carried out with seriousness, as we must ensure that every citizen has access to clean water.
